The gut microbiome research field needs new perspectives and new tools to tackle difficult questions related to understanding the lifecycle and function of commensal and pathogenic organisms and leveraging these insights towards human health.

The Fishbein lab is looking for trainees (undergraduates, graduates, and postdocs) and research staff from all walks of science to contribute to our mission. Applicants with previous training in microbiology, genetics, biochemistry, immunology, computational biology, ecology, or related fields are especially encouraged to apply, but all will be considered. Our lab will support an individual’s professional growth in scientific investigation and communication through tailored mentorship towards future careers in academia, industry and government.
